A REVIEW ON THE BIOLOGY AND PARASITES OF THE BIG-EYE SCAD, SELAR CRUMENOPHTHALMUS (BLOCH, 1793).
This paper presents a review on the biology and the parasites of Selar crumenophthalmus, a finfish utilized for human food consumption. The presence of parasites on this species poses a threat to its human consumers. The biology of S. crumenophthalmus must be understood to explain the prevalence of its parasites. Available literatures were summarized to provide useful information to human consumers.
