A STUDY OF INTELLINGENCE AND ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AMONG THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS OF COIMBATORE DISTRICT IN TAMILNADU.
The Education encompasses teaching and learning specific skills and also something less tangible but more profound the imparting of knowledge, positive judgment and well developed wisdom. It is essential to study the relation of intelligence over academic achievement among students. As intelligence seems to have direct impact on achievement it is essential for a researcher to study its significance based on the evidences. In this limelight the investigator adopted the present study. The investigator used descriptive survey methodology with 300 samples derived from the population. The tools used for the study are standardized and validated. The intelligence and academic achievement are the dependent variable for the study. The independent variables used in the study are gender, locality, medium of instruction and type of school management. The results of the present study were carefully calculated and tabulated.
